About The Team And The Role
The Legal, Risk, and Compliance team reports to the General Counsel and manages a breadth of regulatory responsibilities. This role sits within the Risk and Compliance division of the team and plays a crucial role in protecting ORL by implementing and delivering an effective and positive risk framework incorporating applicable processes, methodologies, and tools, as well as managing the existing business continuity programme.
What You’ll Do
- Ownership of the Risk Management Programme: Implement a bottom up and top down approach to risk management by engaging with the leadership team to identify their views of principal risks, and working bottom up with individual teams in key business areas to support them in the risk lifecycle.
- Awareness: Promote a proactive risk awareness culture within ORL to improve engagement and understanding, as well as continuous horizon scanning to identify emerging risks applicable to ORL.
- Stakeholder engagement: Develop qualitative and quantitative risk reports, using appropriate risk solutions, to present to the relevant committees on a timely basis.
- Collaboration: Engage and coordinate with other functions both internally and externally to ensure alignment with process and understanding of risk appetite and tolerance for projects, audits, and assurance plans.
- Business Continuity: Oversee and support the business continuity, disaster recovery, playbook, and crisis management plans by reviewing and updating relevant documentation, undertaking tests and training.
- Training: Support the development and delivery of training for risk and business continuity to colleagues, including annual refresher programmes and trainer-led sessions
Who You Are
- Experienced in a 2nd line of defense Risk function with the ability to create and implement policies, processes, frameworks, and reports
- Able to engage with senior management, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to balance the needs of the business with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements.
- Organised and driven with the aptitude to protect the business and its information to ensure it is not compromised or exposed to unnecessary risk
