About the team and the role
The Own Brand Lead is responsible for leading the strategic direction of Ocado Own Brand product development and ongoing quality management. This role oversees existing Product Development, New Product Development (NPD) strategy delivery, and maintains high product standards through rigorous quality assurance and benchmarking. The role also has accountability for managing market analysis, project management (including rollout of any design changes), and effectively leading and managing the team of developers. It requires expertise in stakeholder management and a proven track record in Own Brand management and project delivery.
What you’ll do
- Manage Ocado Own Brand NPD and Review and Refresh strategy delivery
- Lead Strategy Planning and its subsequent implementation
- Oversee Product Development and product quality assurance
- Conduct competitor market analysis
- Product delivery project management
- Manage and support the team, including people management
- Responsible for effective Strategy Planning and Implementation
- Accountable for the delivery of the NPD strategy and day-to-day brand management
- Maintain product standards through Quality Assurance
- Ensure successful Project Management and Stakeholder Management
- Deliver specific project outputs like the Redesign rollout
Who you are
- Deep-rooted interest in food and non-food quality development, with a passion for delivering great quality product on time and to budget
- Expertise in strategy planning and implementation
- Ability to adapt and overcome challenges in the product development process
- Proficiency in competitor market analysis and product development
- Ability to lead teams as well as manage people and stakeholders effectively
- Experience in the successful delivery of multiple NPD projects concurrently
- Proven background in day-to-day Own Brand Management
