About the team and the role
As part of our in‑house technology evolution, Ocado Retail is establishing a dedicated focus on leveraging advanced Artificial Intelligence to augment our teams and streamline our operations. Built around our agile Product Pod model, this new role will lead a pipeline of agentic and AI‑derived products. The Product Manager - AI & Agentic Products will be responsible for identifying high‑impact opportunities to augment what we do with AI, establishing secure and scalable deployments in collaboration with Data Science, IT, and Governance. They will work with a lean, dedicated development team to bring these tools to life. This role covers the entire lifecycle, from initial concept and custom UI/micro‑app development to large‑scale enterprise integration.
What you’ll do
- Opportunity Discovery & Pipeline Management: Proactively collaborate with business stakeholders across Ocado Retail to identify processes, decision‑points, and workflows that can be augmented or automated using agentic AI solutions.
- Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Act as the critical connector between our Data Science teams (who build underlying models/algorithms) and business units, translating technical capabilities into practical, value‑adding applications.
- Governance, Compliance & Security: Partner closely with IT, Data Governance, and InfoSec teams to ensure all AI deployments adhere to strict security, privacy, and ethical standards, establishing robust guardrails for agentic behaviours.
- UI & Micro‑App Delivery: Lead a software development team to design and build intuitive User Interfaces (UIs) and lightweight micro‑applications, ensuring that complex AI capabilities are accessible, highly usable, and seamlessly integrated into daily business workflows.
- Large‑Scale Augmentation: Oversee the scaling and integration of agentic tools into core enterprise systems to deliver significant, measurable productivity gains and smarter decision‑making.
- MVP to Production Lifecycle: Define minimum viable products (MVPs) for rapid testing and feedback, and establish a clear framework for measuring, monitoring, and optimising the business value of AI tools post‑rollout.
