About the team and the role
This role is a vital part of our e-commerce team, focusing on the end-to-end product marketing strategy for existing and new propositions and end to end delivery of new venture products. The product marketing senior executive will be instrumental in driving business growth, overseeing product improvement initiatives and fostering stakeholder connections to ensure market fit and success in achieving key business strategic objectives within our dynamic online grocery retail environment.
What you’ll do
- Develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies and go-to-market plans for new and existing e-commerce products and propositions
- Collaborate with key stakeholders across Ocado Retail (Product, Customer, Commercial) and Ocado Group (Technology, Solutions) to identify and define growth opportunities, set ambitious goals and devise plans to achieve them
- Analyse the performance of specific products and propositions, leveraging data and insight to continuously assess effectiveness of marketing and growth initiatives, informing future roadmap decisions and campaign strategies.
- Develop testing and growth ideas, ensuring all channel responses are targeted and aligned, evaluating and providing feedback from concept through to delivery
- Experiment through A/B testing to optimise customer experience
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscapes, communicating key insights to the Product and Proposition team to capitalise on growth opportunities and support the wider business in understanding the evolution of our product and platform.
- Project manage ventures from concept to execution, coordinating stakeholders and actively communicating progress and outcomes to all parties
- Buddy and training new or junior team members, as appropriate.
Who you are
- Experience and a strong understanding of Ecommerce in a Retail context.
- Experience of end- to- end thinking and strategies as well as supporting with complex projects, including resource planning and effective risk and stakeholder management
- Strong insight and data led skills – The role will require strong analytical skills.
- Excellent attention to detail skills, with an eye for detail to be able to provide accurate and high quality work.
- Competent and confident working on internal systems, spreadsheets and powerpoint presentations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Preferably, you will have experience in managing a small team or matrix managing, however, this is not necessary as training can be provided.
