About us
Our mission is to deliver joy in every shop, through unbeatable choice, unrivalled service, and reassuringly good value. We’re Ocado Retail, a market-leading joint venture between Ocado Group and M&S, and the world’s largest dedicated online supermarket. Not only is Ocado.com the only place to shop a full range of M&S food online, it’s also the home to the widest online supermarket range in the UK and champion of small, independent brands.
This is a rare opportunity to become a key member of the CRM team, within a wider dynamic and growing Zoom team, working to rapidly scale the business as we expand across London and further afield to win in the fast-growing immediacy grocery market.
About the team and the role
Working closely with the wider Customer team and reporting to the Senior Customer Lead, the Senior Marketing Executive is responsible for planning and delivering marketing campaigns that provide a clear and strong motivation for people to shop with Zoom. Your mission is to accelerate Zoom by Ocado’s market share and brand love, driving measurable customer acquisition and retention through the execution of data-led, creative omni-channel strategies that champion the speed and quality of our service.
As part of a lean, "start-up" style team, you will thrive on autonomy and self-management. You will be expected to translate customer needs into persuasive creative communications, leveraging data to ensure every message hits the mark.
What you’ll do
- Execution & Trade: Manage the trade marketing calendar, coordinating with Customer, Ecom and Trade teams to bring commercial initiatives to life seamlessly across all touchpoints. Lead both the strategic planning and practical execution phases, aligning Creative, Digital, Retention, and Ecom teams to ensure cohesive, on-brand, and on-time omni-channel delivery.
- Brand & Social: Take full ownership of Zoom’s social platforms, managing the end-to-end campaign calendar, including content creation. Partner with acquisition on establishing an influencer partnership strategy. Drive creative collaboration: Partner closely with the in-house creative team to conceptualise innovative campaigns and continuously refine the Zoom brand identity.
- Analysis & Insight: Drive data-led decision making: Leverage commercial data and customer insights to develop recommendations and optimisation for future campaigns. Performance reporting: Oversee regular reporting on channel performance and key KPIs, delivering everything from weekly trade updates to deep-dive post-campaign analysis.
Who you are
- Brand-Centric & Commercially Driven: You don’t just execute campaigns; you drive brand growth and tangible business results. You are comfortable making data-driven trade-offs to balance brand equity with hard commercial targets.
- Foodie & Consumer Obsessed: You are genuinely passionate about food and culture. You understand what drives customers to shop, cook, and indulge—and you know how to tap into those cravings through compelling marketing.
- Rigorous Attention to Detail: Whether it’s signing off social copy, checking budget spreadsheets, or reviewing creative assets, you ensure 100% accuracy and brand consistency before anything goes live.
- Collaborative Influencer: You possess excellent communication skills, capable of building productive relationships across a diverse matrix.
- Agile & Proactive: You embody a "start-up" mindset. In the world of rapid delivery, you are willing to roll up your sleeves—whether that’s jumping on a sudden social trend, adjusting a plan due to stock availability, or leading a strategic deep-dive.
- Insight-Led & Curious: You are naturally inquisitive. You challenge the status quo and use data to find the next opportunity for optimisation in the marketing funnel.
- Marketing Toolkit: You are comfortable behind the lens. Proven experience filming mobile-first content, editing high-quality Reels (using native tools, CapCut, or InShot), and managing the upload process is essential.
What’s in it for you
By joining Ocado Retail, you’ll have the chance to experience life at the world’s largest online retailer, work with an amazing bunch of people who challenge what’s possible each day, and grow your skills and career in online retail. - Health & Wellbeing: Private medical insurance with option to add your family, Digital GP appointments, market-leading family policies, mental health support, discounted gym memberships, dental insurance, and more.
