As a Warehouse Operative for Ocado Logistics, you are at the heart of preparing orders for customers at our Purfleet facility.
Roles Available
- Despatch: Load individual totes into frames for delivery vans and sort returning totes. This physical role requires lifting heavy totes into frames.
- Pick: Pick and pack customer orders into shopping totes, handling goods with care. Assistance from robots provided.
- Inbound: Receive goods from suppliers and place them into totes for robots and pickers.
- Freezer: Pick and pack frozen items into totes within a very large freezer (up to –25℃). Full gear is provided for cold working conditions.
Shift Times
- Days Pick/Freezer – 06:00 – 16:00, 4 days
- Nights Pick/Freezer – 18:00 – 06:00, 4 nights
- Days Despatch – 06:00 – 17:00, 4 days
- Nights Despatch – 18:00 – 06:00, 4 nights
- Days Inbound – 06:00 – 16:00, 4 days
- Nights Inbound – 18:00 – 06:00, 4 nights
Salary and Perks
Basic rate: £12.46 per hour.
Night shift premium (midnight to 06:00): £2.94 per hour.
Freezer premium: £1.10 per hour.
Overtime paid at 1.25 times the basic rate.
