About the role: We wouldn’t be able to positively impact the way the world shops without our passionate team members – who keep our business running, our vans delivering, our customers’ products picked and packed and our proprietary technology operating at optimum levels. We now have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner (12-month fixed term contract) to join our team. The role exists to deliver cost-effective daily and weekly transport plans that meet operational requirements, comply with driver regulations, and support the wider supply chain. You’ll work closely with multiple stakeholders across the planning and logistics network while gaining valuable experience in a fast-paced, data-led environment.
Based in Hatfield 2 days a week with hybrid working options available, this is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to grow their career in transport and logistics planning.
You will be – Skills and responsibilities:
- Using your problem-solving and Excel skills to create effective and compliant transport plans
- Monitoring and reporting on transport KPIs, driver compliance, and scheduling performance
- Supporting daily operational planning and future forecasting of headcount and resources
- Working collaboratively with key stakeholders including Supply Chain, Operational Teams, LGV Training and Planning Analytics
- Managing LGV driver schedules, rotas, holidays, and time/attendance records with accuracy and attention to detail
About you – Requirements to be considered:
- Strong numeracy, analytical, and organisational skills with good attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and confident handling data-driven tasks
- A clear communicator, able to work under pressure and engage effectively with multiple stakeholders
- A proactive team player who can adapt to changing priorities and work independently when required
- No previous planning experience needed – full on-the-job training provided, making this ideal for a school leaver or recent graduate
