Building Services Engineer in Tamworth

We’re looking for a hands‑on Building Services Engineer to keep our Dordon Customer Fulfilment Centre and regional spoke sites running safely, efficiently, and reliably. You’ll take ownership of building services maintenance across the sites, handle reactive repairs, planned improvements, and support a 24/7 operation while driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Managing external contractors and working closely with Facilities, Operations, and Engineering teams are key aspects of the role.

• Maintaining and improving building services and site infrastructure
• Working hands‑on across HVAC, refrigeration, power distribution, plant, generators, and site services
• Coordinating and supervising multiple contractors on site each day
• Delivering safe, compliant maintenance through strong permit and contractor control
• Supporting audits, statutory inspections, and CapEx improvement projects
• Identifying efficiencies through energy and performance data

You’re a multi-skilled engineer who enjoys being close to the action and making a visible impact. You’ll Bring:

• Experience in a 24/7 FMCG or highly automated warehouse environment
• Strong building services knowledge (HVAC, chillers, power, sprinklers)
• A hands‑on, problem‑solving mindset with a strong safety focus
• Confidence managing contractors and working across multiple stakeholders
• An HND/HNC (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
• Desirable experience includes CMMS systems, health & safety qualifications, and a background in multi‑skilled maintenance or facilities roles
