We’re reshaping the way the world shops. From high-tech Customer Fulfilment Centres to bustling delivery hubs and corporate offices, we deliver an exceptional online experience for our customers every day. With over 16,000 colleagues across the UK — from drivers and personal shoppers to engineers and leaders — how we develop our leaders has never been more important.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a dynamic Leadership Development Manager to shape the future of leadership at Ocado Logistics. In this role, you will design and deliver a comprehensive leadership development strategy that empowers leaders and strengthens capabilities at every level — helping them grow, perform, and make a meaningful impact across our complex, diverse organisation of 16,000+ colleagues, spanning frontline, operational, and corporate leadership populations.

Reporting to the Head of People Experience, you’ll operate at both a strategic and practical level - setting a clear leadership development direction while closely designing, facilitating, and embedding high-quality interventions and programmes of work. Collaborating with senior leaders, people partners, and specialists across People Experience, you’ll translate organisational priorities into commercially relevant, operationally grounded leadership programmes aligned to Ocado Logistics’ culture and future ambitions.

To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced leadership development professional with a strong track record of designing and delivering leadership development programmes in complex, diverse organisations, including those with large front-line populations. You will have experience building programmes from inception, shaping initiatives that engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

What you’ll be doing

  • Design, develop, and deliver a comprehensive leadership and management development portfolio.
  • Create engaging learning experiences across multiple formats, including in-person workshops, virtual sessions, coaching, and digital learning.
  • Partner with senior leaders and People stakeholders to assess leadership capability needs and translate them into clear development roadmaps.
  • Personally facilitate and deliver leadership programmes across different populations, from frontline leaders to senior managers.
  • Build early career, high-potential, and core leadership programmes, leveraging the apprenticeship levy where appropriate.
  • Establish frameworks to measure impact, effectiveness, and ROI, using data and insight to continuously improve programmes.
  • Manage external suppliers, coaches, and learning partners, ensuring quality, value, and alignment with leadership standards.
  • Own leadership development projects end to end, balancing strategic design with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced, operational environment.
  • Champion leadership capability across the organisation, embedding a consistent and compelling leadership narrative.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience designing and delivering leadership development programmes end to end, ideally within complex or operational organisations - such as FMCG, Manufacturing, Retail, Aviation or similar.
  • Strong capability in both strategic programme design and hands-on facilitation and delivery.
  • Experience building leadership development frameworks, curricula, or portfolios.
  • Confidence working with senior leaders and influencing stakeholders across all levels of the organisation.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong project management capability, with experience managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to evaluate impact and demonstrate ROI.
  • Experience working with digital learning platforms, coaching models, and blended learning approaches.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where needed.

Key competencies

  • Strategic thinking and organisational insight
  • Leadership development and facilitation expertise
  • Executive presence and stakeholder influence
  • Hands-on delivery mindset
  • Strong project and programme management
  • Data-driven decision making
  • Collaboration and relationship building
  • Creativity, resilience, and problem-solving
