Inbound Optimisation Manager
Reports into: Network Operations Manager
Business Area: Supply Chain
Location: Trident Place, Hatfield (Remote 2-3 days per week)
Job Summary
The Inbound Optimisation Manager plays a key role in ensuring efficient inbound deliveries to Ocado’s Customer Fulfilment Centres (CFCs). This role focuses on interpreting data, optimising stockholding, and balancing delivery volumes to meet business and customer demands. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to enhance supply chain efficiency and contribute to strategic growth projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Use data analysis to drive decision-making and improve operational efficiencies.
- Manage inbound stock levels in collaboration with Demand Planning and Supply Chain teams.
- Adjust safety stock levels to optimise inventory and improve performance KPIs.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams, Ocado Retail Limited, Morrisons, and suppliers.
- Oversee seasonal and promotional stock planning to maintain availability.
- Provide insights and regular reports to senior management on supply chain improvements.
- Contribute to the development of new tools and processes to enhance inventory management.
- Support strategic projects related to supply chain optimisation.
Skills & Experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in operational or commercial roles.
- Advanced Excel skills and the ability to interpret large datasets.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Background in FMCG, e-commerce, or supply chain operations.
- Experience in inventory management, demand planning, or supplier coordination.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to change.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience preferred.
