About the role: We now have an opportunity for an Analytics Engineer to join the team. You will sit at the strategic intersection of data analysis, automation, and application development, bridging the gap between raw data sources and actionable business insights. You will play a pivotal role in modernising our technology stack and building user-centric applications within a Google BigQuery environment.

You will be:

  • Designing and maintaining robust data transformation layers within Google BigQuery.
  • Utilising your expertise as an Analytics Engineer to build production-grade data models using SQL and dbt.
  • Automating complex data pipelines to replace legacy manual tools and Excel-based processes.
  • Collaborating with Data Scientists and Analysts to optimise data structures for predictive modelling.
  • Championing software engineering best practices including Git workflows and CI/CD.

About you:

  • You are a SQL expert with deep experience in window functions and performance tuning for the Analytics Engineer role.
  • You have a strong technical foundation in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and BigQuery environments.
  • You are proficient in data modelling concepts such as dimensional modelling and Star Schema.
  • You have hands-on experience with dbt (data build tool) and version control systems like Git.
  • You are a proactive communicator capable of translating technical specifications for business stakeholders.
