If you’re ready to take on a fresh challenge and make a real impact, this is your chance to be part of something from the ground up.
As a Team Manager, you’ll oversee shift operations across people, fleet, facilities, and customer delivery. Leading by example, you’ll inspire and motivate your team to deliver operational excellence while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. You’ll work closely with frontline managers and support teams to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, stepping in to lead in the absence of senior management when required.
This role offers the opportunity to shape a positive, high-performing culture, influence how the site operates, improve engagement and retention, and make a meaningful impact on both our people and our customers. If you’re passionate about leading with purpose, coaching and developing others, and delivering outstanding service, this is the role for you.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Team Manager, you will take full responsibility for leading and delivering a safe, efficient, and high-performing operation. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing fleet, facilities, and operational assets to ensure safety, compliance, and availability
- Ensuring all customer orders are delivered on time and to the highest standard
- Overseeing shift performance, resource allocation, KPIs, and operational risk management
- Take ownership of people management, including coaching, performance and formal processes, while building a motivated and high-performing team.
- Championing Health & Safety and embedding safe systems of work across the site
- Monitoring routes in real time and resolving operational issues quickly and effectively
- Driving delivery quality, customer satisfaction, and service excellence
- Maintaining high levels of driver engagement, attendance, and performance
- Promoting collaboration, teamwork, and clear communication across shifts
- Taking accountability for results, proactively solving problems, and continuously improving processes
Who Should Apply?
We are looking for an ambitious Team Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is confident in managing both people and performance. You will ideally have:
- Proven experience within a fast-paced logistics or operational environment, managing multiple priorities to tight deadlines
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate people, routes, and processes effectively
- Good IT proficiency and confidence using tracking systems, reporting tools, and administrative platforms
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a calm and proactive approach to resolving issues
- Experience conducting formal meetings such as investigations (advantageous)
- A strong customer focus and understanding of how operational delivery impacts overall customer experience
- Flexibility to work rotational shifts, including weekends, in line with the site rota
