Pay Rate: £12.70 per hour • Contract Hours: 40 hours per week
Working Days: Any 8 hour shifts, 5 out of 7 days (mostly PM shifts with some AM shifts available). Parking: Parking at the site is limited.
Role overview
There’s a reason we call them Zoom riders as they nip around the City — finding shortcuts and beating the traffic. Our customers at Ocado never know when they might be missing that vital ingredient or when the munchies might hit, so our Zoom riders are critical in steering their cargo bikes to the rescue at just the right time. You’ll be our customers’ first point of contact, so all we ask is that you deliver joy safely with a smile. In return, we guarantee no two days are ever the same, but every day is an adventure.
Responsibilities
- Deliver orders safely and on time using a cargo e-bike.
- Act as the first point of contact with customers and provide a positive experience.
- Work across 8-hour shifts (AM and PM) as part of a 40-hour week across 5 out of 7 days.
- Be prepared to work in all weather conditions and maintain a good level of fitness.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Safe bicycle riding ability; cargo e-bike and all required equipment provided.
- Willingness to work in all weather conditions and carry a minimal cargo bike load of 50 kg.
- No delivery experience needed; training on cargo bike operation and customer experience provided.
- Positive, can-do attitude and commitment to safety and teamwork.
