Program Overview
- Start Date: Early September 2026

- Location: Hatfield, Welwyn, and London (hybrid); minimum of two days per week in the office.

We consider candidates from a wide range of academic backgrounds. Any candidate who demonstrates a typical understanding of computer science, physics, mathematics, AI, robotics, or machine learning is encouraged to apply.
Rotation Scheme
Our rotation scheme is designed to give you first‑hand experience across a range of areas from Bot Software to Data Science. During the two‑year programme you will rotate through four six‑month placements across the Ocado Technology division.
Key Areas of Work
- Bot Software & Hardware – focus on next‑generation bot software, identify gaps, prototype, and deliver quality products.
- The eCommerce Stream – create the eCommerce solution that powers the Ocado Smart Platform, including platform search, recommendations, and the mobile app.
- Fulfilment Stream – develop warehouse management systems, control systems, and GUIs for automated warehouses.
- Data Organisation – provide data engineering, analysis, and ML expertise across all technology streams.
