The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.

As a Trainee Accountant you will provide support to both internal staff and external clients. Part of your role will involve assisting in the day-to-day financial activities, these will include but are not limited to data entry, month end VAT Returns and accounts preparation and year-end financial accounts and tax returns.

Brief Job Description

  • Bookkeeping and data processing in accounts software, such as Sage, Xero, Quickbooks etc.
  • Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements
  • Assist with the preparation of accounts
  • Liaison with clients to build a rapport on an ongoing basis when completing work
  • Carrying out bookkeeping activities including journal postings and ledger reconciliations
  • Ensuring completed work is accurate and professionally presented to senior members of staff.
  • Be responsible for helping to service clients and keeping clients up to date on the progress of jobs, helping to resolve queries effectively and to the client’s satisfaction.
  • To undertake other tasks as required by senior staff which are required to either enhance client service or improve working practices.

Requirements for the role

The ideal candidate:

  • Will have completed a relevant degree
  • On course to achieve a minimum of a 2:1.
  • You will possess good communication, administration and organisational skills.
  • You must be a flexible team player.
