Mercor is seeking senior accounting and audit professionals to build evaluation tasks for AI systems operating in Fortune 500 accounting contexts. The workflows are calibrated to the reporting obligations, control environments, and transaction complexity of Fortune 500 and large public companies. Contributors design enterprise accounting scenarios, produce reference work, and write rubrics that reflect senior controllership and audit judgment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Construct scenarios across F500 corporate accounting and controllership, including multi-entity and multi-currency consolidations under ASC 810.
  • Build SEC reporting tasks (10-Q, 10-K, 8-K, proxy) for $10B+ public companies.
  • Develop F500 SOX programs at scale, including environments with 300+ key controls and integrated audits.
  • Author tasks on technical accounting under ASC 606, 842, 805, and 740 at multi-billion revenue scale, plus IFRS-to-US-GAAP conversions for multinational F500.
  • Work with enterprise ERPs (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Cloud ERP) as deployed in F500 finance functions; write rubrics that distinguish senior technical accounting reasoning from textbook recall.

Ideal Qualifications

  • 5+ years in corporate accounting, controllership, or technical accounting at a Fortune 500 or large public company, OR at a Big 4 firm auditing F500 / Fortune 100 clients (PCAOB engagements).
  • Direct experience with SEC reporting, SOX programs, and enterprise close cycles at material scale.
  • Fluency in enterprise ERP environments and in technical accounting standards as applied at F500 revenue scale.
  • Prior rubric, training-content, or technical accounting authorship is a plus.

Compensation Note

  • Hourly Pay: $70 to $95 per hour, set by Mercor based on demonstrated expertise.
  • Minimum Commitment: 20 hours per week.
