Mercor is seeking Phylogenetics QA Reviewers for a premier project with one of the world's top AI labs. This role pays between $55–80/hour. In this role, you will review and quality‑check challenging phylogenetics and evolutionary‑biology problems authored by domain experts, verifying correctness, scientific rigor, and clarity of the data used to train and evaluate state‑of‑the‑art large language models. Each problem receives multiple independent reviews.

Qualifications

  • PhD or advanced degree (or equivalent research experience) in Evolutionary Biology, Phylogenetics, Genetics, Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Molecular Biology, or Ecology & Evolution.
  • Strong reviewing / QA instincts and can rigorously verify the correctness of problems and their solutions.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Screening Process

You will need to complete a short interview and task that will take 20-30 minutes and we will pay for up to 1 hour of onboarding time including this and a few onboarding videos if you are hired.
