The Opportunity
Following exceptional growth in 2025, we’re excited to welcome an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager to join one of our thriving business units. In this pivotal role, you will:
- Be part of a dynamic team of 20 account handlers and editorial specialists.
- Take ownership of key accounts across fascinating therapy areas including: hepatitis, HIV, oncology, rare diseases, nephrology, and haemophilia.
- Ensure seamless delivery while proactively identifying smarter, more strategic ways to achieve client goals.
What You’ll Do
- Drive project excellence: Oversee internal and external review processes for quality, accuracy, and compliance, while coaching junior team members.
- Manage budgets and timelines: Keep financials on track and ensure projects are delivered on time, every time.
- Build strong relationships: Lead high-level client interactions and foster connections with internal teams, scientific experts, and suppliers.
- Mentor and lead: Line manage and develop junior team members, promoting best practices and high standards.
- Ensure compliance: Partner with senior leadership to guarantee all projects meet regulatory and ethical standards.
- Support business growth: Spot new opportunities, craft proposals, and help expand Obsidian’s offerings.
What We’re Looking For
- Ideally a science degree (or relevant qualification) or a strong interest in healthcare communications.
- Proven experience managing diverse accounts and projects within medical education/communications agencies, or a similar industry.
- Previous line management experience (SAM/SPM level or above).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating accountability and initiative.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and internationally as required.
