The Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our growing Water Compliance team. This is a varied, client-facing role focused on carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments across a range of commercial, industrial and public-sector sites. You’ll be responsible for inspecting hot and cold-water systems, identifying potential risks and producing clear, practical reports that help our clients stay compliant and keep their water systems safe. You’ll work independently, manage your own workload and build strong relationships with clients. It’s a great opportunity for an experienced Risk Assessor who enjoys a varied role and wants to develop their technical and client-facing skills within a growing business.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working as a Legionella Risk Assessor.
  • Experience carrying out Legionella Risk Assessments across commercial, industrial or public-sector environments.
  • Good knowledge of ACoP L8 and HSG274.
  • Strong understanding of domestic hot and cold-water systems and Legionella control.
  • Experience identifying issues such as stagnation, dead legs, temperature control and poor system design.
  • Good report-writing and documentation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a practical approach to problem solving.
  • Confident communicating with clients and explaining technical findings clearly.
  • Comfortable working independently and managing your own diary and workload.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.

Desirable

  • Relevant Legionella Risk Assessment qualification/training.
  • Experience producing water-system schematics.
  • Experience working across different sectors and more complex water systems.
  • Knowledge of wider UK water hygiene legislation and guidance.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body.
  • Experience using electronic reporting or compliance systems.
