About the Role

As a Fire & Security Engineer within Brunel’s PPM team, you will support the successful delivery of fire and security maintenance and reactive maintenance. You will be responsible for achieving your service schedules to the levels expected by the company and communicating with line managers and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • An all-round and competent engineer with good knowledge of both Fire and security systems.
  • Primarily undertaking Fire Alarm and Intruder Alarm PPM visits.
  • Providing, when required, attendance to undertake reactive call outs for both fire, intruder and security systems.
  • Sites maintained would be predominantly public sector buildings, such as schools, colleges, libraries, etc. However, the area of operation would also cover private education and healthcare sites.
  • Able to work effectively using own initiative
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with a professional and responsive attitude.
  • Problem-solving approach and a proactive mindset.

Experience & Qualifications

Required:

  • Experience of fire systems listed:
  • Advanced Electronics, Apollo
  • Experience of security systems listed below is essential:
  • Honeywell Galaxy, Texecom
  • Experience of security systems listed below is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided:
  • Access Control – NSP, Paxton
