About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and proactive Automation Engineer to join our growing team.

This role involves carrying out maintenance, breakdown response, fault finding, repairs and remedial works on a range of automated systems including gates, barriers, doors and shutters across a nationwide customer base.

This position would suit an engineer who is self‑driven, organised and takes pride in delivering a high standard of work.

We are seeking someone with ambition, a positive attitude and a desire to develop their career while contributing to the growth of the department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits.
  • Breakdown attendance and fault diagnosis.
  • Repair and remedial works on automated systems.
  • Electrical and mechanical fault finding.
  • Ensuring systems operate safely and remain compliant with current standards.
  • Accurate completion of service records and reports.
  • Maintaining strong customer relationships and providing excellent service.
  • Experience working with automated gates, barriers, doors, shutters or similar automation systems.
  • Strong electrical competency and fault‑finding ability.
  • Good understanding of relevant safety standards and industry best practices.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
