Drax 360 is a leading supplier of alarm management systems across the UK, providing fully accredited fire detection products and services to multi-site organisations in the healthcare, education, and manufacturing sectors.

We are looking for an experienced Fire Systems Project Engineer to take ownership of delivering fire alarm system projects from initial survey through to commissioning and final handover. In this role, you will manage multiple projects at any one time, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with relevant British Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the full lifecycle of fire alarm projects, from survey and design coordination through to commissioning and handover.
  • Planning and controlling project programmes, resources, and budgets to ensure successful delivery.
  • Coordinating engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers across multiple live sites.
  • Carrying out regular site visits, progress reviews, and stakeholder meetings; reviewing technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensuring all works meet BS 5839, BS EN 54, and relevant regulatory standards.
  • Working closely with design teams to resolve technical challenges and improve project efficiency.
  • Overseeing commissioning, testing, and final system sign-off.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong relationships and ensuring clear communication throughout.
  • Leading site teams, maintaining high standards of workmanship, and promoting a strong safety culture.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing fire alarm or life safety system projects.
  • Experience with addressable systems (e.g., Gent, Apollo, Notifier, Advanced).
  • Strong knowledge of BS 5839 and fire compliance standards.
  • Experience delivering multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Commercial awareness, including cost tracking, forecasting, and applications for payment.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive, solution-focused approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.
