Project Manager – Fully remote. Due to the nature of projects, candidates will ideally hold a BPSS, CTC or DV Clearance (this is advantageous but not essential). Candidates need to hold a full UK driving licence (no visa sponsorship available).

Due to continued expansion, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager with proven experience of working in Fire Protection, Construction or Installation environments, who can take ownership of fire-protection installation projects from planning through to system commissioning and project closure.

The purpose of this role is to project manage the successful delivery and manage multiple installation projects end-to-end, ensuring delivery on time, from initial conception through to project closure, within budget, on time and to strict quality and safety standards. This includes planning, documentation, face-to-face client liaison, risk management, resource allocation, and leading site teams.

As a Project Manager, you will have proven experience of effectively managing direct and indirect reports which include sub-contractors assigned to each project. This also includes coaching and mentoring, managing risk and delivering safety-critical projects to high standards, giving you real influence and autonomy.

You will have excellent planning and time management skills to ensure all projects are completed within set timeframes. This also includes good overall experience of managing the financials of the project, budget management along with effective clear communication skills to ensure all stakeholders are aware of the project’s progress.

You will ensure that all labour, equipment, and materials are made available throughout a project and that these are ordered and delivered to site in the correct quantities and with an appropriate lead-in time.

Candidate Skills:

  • Proven Project Management experience working in construction or installation environments
  • Risk Management experience
  • Strong planning, budgeting, and resource-management skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities
  • Confident decision-maker with a focus on safety and quality
  • Hold a CSCS Manager Card; this may also include CDM, SMSTS or MAPM advantageous, but not essential
  • Fire suppression/water mist systems/sprinkler systems or mechanical systems desirable, but not essential

Duties:

  • Manage projects to project management methodology standards with thorough documentation at all stages
  • Secure the project director's approval before progressing through project phases
  • Develop project schedules and briefs aligned with client needs and contracts
  • Prepare all project documentation, including site surveys, risk assessments, method statements, resource and materials plans, purchasing schedules, and risk logs
  • Consult with clients to confirm requirements and report progress as needed
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate project risks to protect timeline, quality, and costs
  • Monitor and allocate resources efficiently, sourcing materials and labour as needed to control costs and ensure success
  • Oversee project delivery from initiation to closure, meeting agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards; confirm any variations in scope are documented and compensated
  • Maintain accurate reporting for stakeholders regarding status, costs, margins, risks, issues, and resources
  • Supervise and ensure competency of the installation team and subcontractors; maintain required records on training and safety briefings
  • Enforce uniform policy and ensure branded clothing and PPE is adhered to
  • Manage project budgets, monitoring costs, and re-forecasting as needed
  • Ensure health, safety, welfare, and environmental compliance, conduct site audits, and submit reports to QHSE Compliance
  • Maintain quality records as required by clients and management systems
  • Perform other duties as required to meet company objectives
