The predicted salary is between 30000 - 42000 £ per year.

Based in Poole, this role offers an excellent basic salary, shift allowance, paid overtime, 33 days holiday, matched contributory pension scheme, health cash plan, PPE provided, additional training and career progression.

37 hours per week with a double days shift pattern as follows:

  • Early Shift – Monday to Thursday 6am to 2.15pm and Friday 6am to 2pm
  • Late Shift – Monday to Thursday 2:15pm to 10:15pm and Friday 12pm to 7:30pm

2 weeks rotation shift.

As a CNC Setter Operator – Mill/Turn, your ultimate responsibility is to produce work to a high-quality controlled standard and produce components to drawing tolerances within the quality specification. You should be skilled in machining processes to achieve production efficiency and targets. Any experience of setting and running CNC Sliding Head Machines would be advantageous but not essential.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Ideally Apprenticeship trained or qualified by experience.
  • Able to work individually as well as part of a team and be highly motivated.
  • Effective communication skills both spoken and written.
  • Work to deadlines and produce work to a high-quality controlled standard.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Computer literate.
  • Ability to demonstrate a positive attitude to work calmly and under pressure.

Duties:

  • Ability to select the correct tooling and holding devices for manufacture from tool sheets.
  • Set to the set-up sheets, amend as required.
  • Prove out proven/unproven programs.
  • Carry out 1st off inspections and complete feedback tickets of set and run times.
  • Maintain production targets, maintain lean principles, and complete OEE data sheets.
  • Ensure all tooling and gauging is always maintained to a high quality.
  • Liaising with production engineers to ensure productivity.
  • Able to produce components to drawing tolerances within the quality specification across various industry sectors.
  • Work to health and safety processes and procedures.
