O’Brien have an exciting opportunity for you to begin your new career within the AutoGlass industry by joining our Salisbury Service Centre as an Apprentice Windscreen Fitter! If you are mechanically minded, have experience within the Automotive Industry, love delivering a first-class customer experience, have an excellent work ethic and want to receive a full qualification with on the job training and support, then this is the right career for you.
- This is on the job learning with a very supportive Team and Management.
- Complete the Apprenticeship within 2-3 years and receive the full qualification from our Registered Training Organisation (RTO).
- You will be paid on competency and not on tenure: eg. you could be paid Level 5 after 2 years but not receive your certification.
- Willing to stay employed after you have completed your Apprenticeship.
What you’ll be doing:
- Undergo the O’Brien Cert III in Automotive Glazing through our O’Brien Auto Technician Skills Development Program.
- This program is designed to develop Auto Technician capabilities to the level required to repair and replace glass on any type of motor vehicle to Australian standards.
- Learn how to complete windscreen re-calibrations for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
- Undertake glass chip repairs.
- Deliver an excellent experience to our customers.
- Deliver the service in a professional and timely manner.
What we are looking for:
- Automotive Industry experience highly regarded.
- Manual drivers licence (highly regarded).
- Mechanical aptitude - experience with hand tools (highly regarded).
