The Role

We are seeking a proactive and organised Production & Operations Coordinator to join a growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in coordinating projects between Sales, Production, and Support functions, ensuring orders are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.

You will act as a key point of contact for customers regarding order updates and deliveries while managing the smooth progression of projects from initial order through to fulfilment.


Key Responsibilities
  • Raise and process sales and purchase orders using the company's CRM system.
  • Monitor orders from creation through to delivery, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate production schedules in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Design, Production, and Finance teams.
  • Liaise with suppliers to confirm lead times, negotiate where appropriate, and resolve delivery issues.
  • Manage import and export administration where required.
  • Maintain stock records and conduct inventory checks.
  • Review purchase orders, delivery notes, and supplier invoices to identify and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate daily dispatch activities and sample fulfilment.
  • Manage incoming deliveries and ensure accurate record keeping.
  • Produce reports and operational data to support management decision-making.
  • Deliver excellent customer service by responding to order and delivery enquiries in a professional and timely manner.

Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

  • Previous experience in operations, production planning, supply chain, stock control, or a similar coordination role.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Confidence using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working with suppliers and coordinating multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and resourceful approach to problem-solving.
  • The ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and telephone manner.
  • Analytical thinking and the ability to interpret operational data.
  • Experience with import/export processes would be advantageous but is not essential.
