The Role
As Senior Parts Sales Advisor, you will support the Assistant Parts Manager in the smooth running of the Central Parts Department while acting as a key technical and customer-facing specialist. The role is predominantly telephone and email based, working closely with customers, internal teams, and third-party data partners. You will play a vital role in the management of parts data, electronic parts catalogues, and engineering changes, ensuring customers receive the right part, first time.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as first point of contact for complex and escalated customer parts enquiries
- Support customers in accurately identifying the correct parts via phone and email
- Assist the wider parts team with technical parts identification and problem-solving
- Prepare and issue customer quotations in a timely and professional manner
- Promote the sale of genuine OE parts and advise on best-fit solutions
- Identify and analyse parts failure trends and recurring technical issues
- Create, maintain, and publish technical Parts Bulletins
- Act as the main liaison with the 3PL parts data team for EPC and master data queries
- Manage vehicle Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the Electronic Parts Catalogue
- Oversee and implement Engineering Product Change Notices into the aftermarket operation
- Review, improve, and maintain the accuracy of EPC illustrations and parts data
- Work closely with in-house engineering and technical teams to resolve part-related issues
What You’ll Be Accountable For
- Delivering consistently high levels of customer service
- Ensuring accurate parts identification using approved data sources
- Resolving customer and internal escalations promptly and professionally
- Building strong, professional customer relationships over the telephone
- Maintaining accurate parts master data, including supersessions
- Sharing knowledge and supporting colleagues within the parts team
- Collaborating closely with engineering, technical, and data teams
