Our client is a well-established engineering business supplying the UK rail industry. They're successful, growing, and have built an excellent reputation over the last 20+ years. They're now looking for a Customer Account Manager to join their close-knit commercial team. It's a genuine opportunity to build a long-term career, with a clear pathway into a Sales Manager position as the business continues to grow. The Role
This is an office-based role managing a portfolio of existing customers. You'll focus on building strong relationships, responding to enquiries, preparing quotations and delivering excellent customer service. You'll become the go-to contact for your customers while learning a specialist product range, with full training provided.
What You'll Be Doing
- Looking after around 20 established customer accounts.
- Handling customer enquiries from start to finish.
- Preparing quotations and checking stock availability.
- Building strong, long-term customer relationships.
- Visiting customers across the UK when needed (occasional overnight stays).
- Attending exhibitions and industry events.
- Working closely with the Procurement team.
- Developing knowledge of the company's specialist products.
About You
You'll enjoy working with people and building relationships. You'll probably have experience in one of the following:
- Account Management
- Internal Sales
- Customer Service
- Sales Support
- Commercial Administration
- Technical or Engineering Support
You'll also have:
- Great communication skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Confidence speaking with customers.
- Ambition to develop your career.
- A full UK driving licence.
- Industry experience isn't essential. If you've got the right attitude and enjoy looking after customers, full product training will be provided.

- Salary dependant on experience
- 10% performance bonus
- Monday-Thursday: 8:30am - 4:30pm
- Friday: 9:00am - 3:00pm
