Position: Yard Operative / HGV Delivery Driver (PDI Support)
Location: Warwick, CV34 6TE
Hours: 40 hours per week
- Monday–Thursday: 06:30–15:30
- Friday: 06:00–11:00
Pay Rate: Up to £16.66 per hour (DOE)
We’re seeking a reliable and hands‑on Yard Operative / HGV Driver to join a busy vehicle preparation team in Warwick. This role combines yard duties, vehicle movements and basic inspection tasks, ensuring that vehicles are processed, positioned and transported efficiently between on‑site and local locations.
Main Duties- Move and deliver HGVs to nearby yards, storage facilities and handover points
- Safely manoeuvre vehicles around the yard, factory and workshop areas
- Carry out essential pre‑delivery checks and record inspection details accurately
- Ensure vehicles are clean, fuelled and ready for internal or external movement
- Maintain tidy and well‑organised yard areas, including vehicle bays and traffic routes
- Support loading, unloading and internal vehicle flow to keep operations running smoothly
- Work closely with workshop, transport and production teams to coordinate priorities
- Follow all health & safety requirements when handling and moving vehicles
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence
- Previous experience operating HGVs in a yard, depot or operational environment
- Confident in manoeuvring large vehicles in tight or busy areas
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Good attention to detail when completing movement logs and inspection paperwork
- Reliable, flexible and able to work well independently
- Calm and professional attitude, even during busy periods
