An established and highly respected organisation based in Doncaster is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll Coordinator / Senior Payroll Administrator to join their growing payroll function. The payroll team plays a critical role within the organisation, and this position has been created due to continued growth and increasing payroll complexity.
You will take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring all employees receive accurate and timely payments while maintaining full compliance with statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Process weekly and monthly payrolls in a high-volume environment, ensuring all timesheets, overtime, expense claims, and supporting documentation are accurately processed.
- Calculate and process salaries, wages, bonuses, statutory payments (including SSP, company sick pay, Maternity and Paternity pay).
- Manage PAYE, NIC, pension contributions, voluntary deductions, and Attachment of Earnings Orders (AEOs).
- Perform manual gross-to-net calculations, handle tax coding notices, and process benefits in kind.
- Thoroughly check and reconcile payrolls to ensure accuracy before final processing.
- Investigate and resolve employee payroll queries promptly and professionally.
- Liaise with HMRC, Benefits Agency, mortgage lenders, courts, and other external bodies as required.
- Work closely with HR and site management on all payroll-related matters.
- Support continuous improvement of payroll processes and maintain accurate records in line with Data Protection and statutory requirements.
