CNC Field Service Engineer | Field-Based | UK-Wide Travel
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 (Depending on Experience) + Overtime Opportunities
Working Hours: Monday-Friday (Days Only) 40 hours PW

The Opportunity:
We are working in partnership with a number of leading CNC machine tool service and manufacturing businesses across the UK. Due to continued growth and customer demand, we are recruiting experienced CNC Field Service Engineers to support a wide range of machine tool brands and technologies. This is a field-based role involving UK-wide travel and regular overnight stays. You will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and optimisation of CNC machine tools at customer sites across multiple industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out CNC machine tool service activities including breakdown response, fault diagnosis, repairs, refurbishments, relocations, installations, and calibrations
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and CNC control system faults
- Work on CNC controls, drive optimisation, and PLC related projects
- Conduct machine geometry checks, alignment, and accuracy verification
- Complete planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and servicing schedules
- Produce detailed service reports, technical documentation, and machine assessment reports
- Support internal teams with technical advice and spare parts identification
- Travel extensively across the UK, including overnight stays when required
About You:
- Proven experience servicing and repairing CNC machine tools
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability
- Working knowledge of CNC controls, PLCs, and drive systems
- Willing and able to travel UK-wide with overnight stays
- Full UK driving licence
