An experienced and driven CNC Field Service Engineer is required for a field-based position involving UK-wide travel and regular overnight stays. The role focuses on the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and optimisation of CNC machine tools at customer sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out service activities including breakdowns, audits, repairs, refurbishments, relocations, installations, and calibrations.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and CNC control system faults.
- Undertake CNC control system, drive optimisation, and PLC-related projects.
- Perform machine geometry and alignment checks.
- Complete preventive maintenance (PPM) and servicing schedules.
- Produce technical documentation and machine assessment reports.
- Generate detailed service and escalation reports.
- Support internal teams with technical queries and spare part identification.
- Complete RAMS before commencing work.
- Travel frequently, including overnight stays when required.
Ideal Candidate:
- Previous experience in CNC machine tool servicing and repair.
- Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
