This is a senior, hands-on finance role for someone who likes being close to the numbers and close to the people making decisions. You’ll be the go-to finance lead across multiple business units, owning management accounts, shaping forecasts, strengthening controls, and helping operational leaders drive business growth. What you’ll be responsible for:
- Producing weekly and monthly management accounts across multiple entities, including consolidated reporting
- Owning budgets, forecasts and variance analysis
- Preparing financial reporting packs, audit files and acting as the key contact for external auditors
- Strengthening and improving internal controls, processes and reporting quality
- Leading, developing and performance-managing a small finance team
- Working closely with senior leaders and non-finance stakeholders to support decision-making across the value chain
- Holding regular performance conversations with operational managers to drive commercial outcomes
- Supporting ERP system development and process improvements within your remit
- Getting involved in ad-hoc commercial and business improvement projects when it matters
What you’ll bring:
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) (Desirable)
- Strong grounding in financial accounting, management accounting and consolidation
- Proven experience leading or managing a finance team. However, open to developing a future leader.
- Confidence operating in a multi-entity, deadline-driven environment
- Advanced Excel skills
- ERP experience (Business Central exposure is a plus, not a deal-breaker)
- Clear, confident communication, you can translate numbers into stories
- A calm, assertive style and the ability to influence at all levels
