BASED IN CAMBRIDGESHIRE, UK WE ARE AT THE HEART OF THE INNOVATION CORRIDOR AND WORLD FAMOUS MOTORSPORT VALLEY.
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our engineering team.
The ideal candidate should have experience with Laser Cutting machinery and a strong understanding of engineering principles.
The role will also involve assisting the engineering team with the operation of CNC milling and CNC lathe machines as required.
This will provide an opportunity to develop your skills and gain broader experience within the engineering environment.
Full training and support will be provided where necessary, so previous experience with CNC milling or turning is not essential.
Duties will include
- Setting and Operating on the Man Tech Vector FL130 3k W
- To create and optimise nesting programmes to maximise machine and sheet usage
- Plan and manage laser cutting workload to support production schedules
- Use hand tools, measuring devices, and basic math skills to ensure precise cuts
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting mechanical issues
- Quality Checking parts
- Documenting work done accurately and comprehensively
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Working independently and as a team
Minimum Skills / Experience required
- Must be able to set up and operate Laser cutting machines
- Ability and knowledge to QC parts
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Able to work under own initiative
- Minimum 2 years experience within the Laser Cutting industry
