Job Description OBM is currently recruiting for a Multi Skilled Quayside Operative for our client ASCO Teesworks based in Teesside, Middlesborough. The successful candidate will perform the base operative role with at least one or more of the following additional quayside functions as required: Chargehand, Checker, Tugmaster Operator and Forklift Driver. Roles & Responsibilities Undertake cargo handling/vessel loading & unloading operations in accordance with company procedure. Assist in the co-ordination of all crane lifting operations Assist in the transportation and logistics of lifting equipment Responsible for ensuring that all equipment used is compliant with legislation Participate in and contribute to the day-to-day interface between lifting operations and any other affected areas Inspection of cargo delivered to the Gantry in accordance with OGUK best practice and our Client’s Global Operating Procedures Identify opportunities to improve service delivery and suggest improvements/changes to the process where required.
