Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our client's team, working under a prominent oil and gas company. This role will be pivotal in ensuring effective inventory analysis, management, and reporting to meet the operational needs of the client's business. You will collaborate with various teams to maintain accurate records, improve stock management practices, and support the overall supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Analysis & Management: Monitor and analyse inventory levels to ensure the timely availability of materials and supplies. Track stock movement and report on key metrics to identify trends and potential stock shortages or excesses. Develop and implement inventory control procedures to optimize supply chain operations.
- Strong Communication Skills: Communicate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors to ensure smooth operations and address inventory-related issues. Prepare and deliver inventory reports and updates to management. Coordinate and collaborate with different departments to meet business and project requirements.
- Advanced Excel Proficiency: Utilize advanced Excel functions to create and maintain inventory tracking spreadsheets, reports, and dashboards. Analyse large sets of inventory data and generate insights to support decision-making. Automate routine processes and streamline reporting using Excel macros, formulas, and pivot tables.
- Drilling Background (Advantageous): Prior experience in drilling operations or a similar background within the oil and gas industry is highly preferred. Understand the unique inventory needs associated with drilling projects and equipment. Work closely with the drilling team to manage specialized equipment and materials.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory management, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
