We are looking for a Junior Software Support Analyst to join our team in Reading. In this role you’ll help customers get the most out of our software by providing technical support and building strong relationships with users. You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues, gain hands-on experience with real-world systems and develop the skills needed for a successful career in tech. This role reports to the Engineering Support Team Leader and has no people management responsibilities.
A day in your role:
- Support customers remotely by diagnosing issues and delivering effective solutions within agreed service levels.
- Build technical knowledge of our software and related technologies, using testing environments to replicate and resolve issues.
- Work closely with customers, developing an understanding of their systems and becoming a trusted technical contact.
- Participate in customer meetings, preparing reports and documentation to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Contribute to team performance, meeting support targets and collaborating with colleagues to continuously improve.
- Get involved in projects and initiatives, working with internal teams to enhance customer experience and product quality.
What we’re looking for:
- A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft operating systems.
- Awareness of databases such as MySQL or SQL Server.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and develop.
- Clear and confident communication skills.
