OBI are currently recruiting for a qualified Interior Designer to join a close-knit team of creatives at a successful design studio, specialising in Commercial Interiors and Workplace Consultancy. The successful candidate would be tasked with working autonomously on Mid Weight Projects for high profile UK based companies and global clients. The role is full time working from our Manchester office.
The Role
- Specialise in a role that includes workplace consultancy, space planning, interior design, CAT A refurbishments and CAT B occupier fit‐outs, Revit design work, and other related consultancy services.
- Work in a team and also be required to lead and develop projects to ensure that an initial concept is developed, detailed and successfully delivered through to the final stages on time and on budget.
- You will develop and manage design deliverables in line with the project brief, contributing and participating at all stages from inception through to completion.
- You will be expected to work closely with all other departments within the Company supporting our business model of an integrated real estate advisory business.
Qualifications
- Have a good knowledge of Autodesk Revit (a good proficiency is highly preferred).
- Good understanding of all RIBA stages of work.
- Conduct site surveys.
- Work in a demanding and dynamic environment to strict timescales and deadlines.
- Collaborate with senior designers and project managers with ongoing projects.
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in commercial design.
- Ability to produce office layout space plans in a timely fashion.
- Ability to take project briefs from clients.
- Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
- AutoCAD knowledge for producing draft work, details and design packs.
- Ability to create 3D visuals.
- Excellent communication and client care skills.
- Be collaborative, a key team player and open to new ideas.
- Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interior Design or equivalent.
