Accounts Assistant I’m currently working on an Accounts Assistant opportunity within a professional services business. It would suit someone with around a year or more of accounts experience who is looking to build on their existing experience and progress their career. The role covers a broad range of accounting responsibilities, including: Bank and balance sheet reconciliations Processing journals and payments Supporting VAT and tax work Assisting with financial reporting and year-end accounts Supporting the audit process Processing client account payments Regular financial reporting Providing support to Accounts Payable when needed Helping with accounting system projects and implementations General financial analysis and ad hoc accounting work They’re looking for someone who is organised, accurate and proactive , with good Excel and general IT skills. Experience within a law firm or professional services environment would be useful, but the main requirement is a solid grounding in accounts. The role would also suit someone who is keen to continue developing their accounting knowledge and work towards professional qualifications.
