Oberto Snacks Inc., known for our high quality, delicious meat snacks, is currently hiring at our Kent, Washington manufacturing facility. Maintenance Technicians must have a strong working background in the repair of pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical, electronics, PLCs, servos and vacuum equipment/machinery.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Understands electrical schematics and has proficiency in operating a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Maintains the operation of production lines by providing simple “on-line” repairs on all packaging/processing line equipment.
  • Troubleshoots the source of equipment failure and adjusts, repairs or replaces parts as needed using standard hand and power tools, including specialty tools such as volt OHM Meter.
  • Performs these tasks at the request of the Lead Maintenance Tech or Production Personnel.
  • At the commencement of the shift, consults the production schedule for the day and sets up the machines accordingly.
  • Reports to Lead and/or Maintenance Supervisor with any reasons for delaying shift starts.
  • Responsible for submitting any parts requisition forms for low inventoried or non-inventoried stock.
  • May be required to fabricate a needed part if availability is limited by use of grinder, drill press, band saw and MIG or TIG welding equipment.

SCHEDULE: Position available on 2nd shift scheduled 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM, 5 days per week.

QUALIFICATIONS/PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Experienced in pneumatics, mechanical, refrigeration, boiler, and electrical repairs.
  • 3 years’ experience in the maintenance field, 1 of which is in the food or manufacturing industry.
  • 3 years plumbing or general facilities repair experience.
  • 3 years pneumatics and hydraulics experience.
  • Understands PLC wiring and ladder logic (training class or work experience).
