The role involves supporting the in-house legal team for the next 3 months, starting this August. As a key member of the day-to-day legal operation, you will be involved in triaging legal queries and managing a high volume of commercial contracts.
Core Responsibilities & Focus Areas
- Legal inbox: All legal queries, contracts, and matters are driven through the shared legal inbox. Work is managed from the shared inbox rather than a personal email, ensuring visibility and continuity for the wider team. This allows the team to track progress and stay aligned on active matters.
- Contracting & commercial work: Support contracts and bids alongside the commercial team, covering contractor/worker appointments, client terms and conditions, and general contracting queries routed into the legal inbox.
- Litigation: Manage a small number of small-claims-type litigation matters, monitor current status on each case, and keep internal stakeholders informed while proactively following up for instructions where needed.
Skills & experience required
- Experience in an in-house legal environment ideally within recruitment or professional services.
- Track record of handling high-volume commercial contracts.
- Ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload independently.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Pragmatic, solutions-oriented, and commercially aware.
This is a 4 days a week role, spread across 5 days. You will also be required to attend the London office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
