We are recruiting on behalf of a leading global industrial and energy business with an established and growing renewables portfolio. This is a hands-on contract role focused on progressing recently acquired projects from their current late-stage development status through to ready-to-build (RTB).

  • Start Date: May 2026
  • Capacity: Full Time
  • Location: Hybrid (1 - 2 days per week in the London office)
  • Duration: 6 months (potential to extend)
  • IR35 status: Inside IR35 via an umbrella company

The Role

You will work closely with an experienced M&A team based in London and report into the Head of Legal – EPC and Disputes (based in Spain). Day-to-day, you will manage and coordinate external law firms across a range of project-specific legal workstreams:

  • Leases and property matters relating to renewables project sites
  • Licenses, permits, consents and planning-related conditions
  • Engagement with gas, utility and infrastructure authorities regarding underground pipelines and similar assets
  • Conditions precedent (CPs) and compliance management to drive projects to financial close and construction readiness

What We're Looking For

  • A qualified England and Wales lawyer with extensive planning and property experience, ideally gained within the energy or renewables sector
  • Proven ability to manage CPs and navigate permitting and consent processes
  • Experience dealing with utility and infrastructure authorities
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
  • Collaborative and pragmatic – able to work effectively alongside external counsel and internal commercial teams
