Hello potential future Oatly employee. It’s us, the original oat drink company that started in Sweden back 25 or so years ago, and has since expanded to the UK, US and Asia, where we’ve continued growing at a rate such that we need more brilliant minds to come work with us to keep the momentum going and the oat drink flowing. Sustainability, health, and transparency are the core values that guide everything we do. Basically, we exist to make it easy for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process. If any of this resonates with you, then maybe you’d like to work for Oatly, too.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior National Account Manager (SNAM) to look after 2 of our major Grocery retailers. Oatly has distribution across all of major (and minor) grocery, delivering over £100 million in retail value sales. We’ve consistently demonstrated the strength of our brand - and that of the plant-based sector - by growing total category value as well as winning market share. But we’re only just getting started!
We’re looking for someone to take our relationships with our major customers to the next level, manage complex JBPs and add category value through creative thinking and big ideas! Here are the things we want to hire you to do:
- Build strong and honest relationships across your customers, enabling you to deliver against commercial goals.
- Develop & execute exceptional customer joint business plans that help deliver against both Oatly and the customer's targets, goals, and objectives.
- Plan, negotiate & execute game changing NPD launches with sustainable long-term commercial agreements in place.
- Provide regular, accurate volume forecasts based on detailed performance analysis. You’ll track against these forecasts and provide clear updates to the business on progress.
- Drive trial & awareness of the Oatly portfolio through securing leading feature and display, leveraging trade marketing resource effectively to do so.
- Work closely with functions across the Oatly business, such as Finance and Supply Chain, collaborating for the best result across the business.
Who You Are
Here are the things we think you’ll need to succeed in this role:
- You have direct experience managing major grocers - ideally Sainsburys or Tesco - at a SNAM or experienced NAM level.
- You’ve got strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience in executing complex JBPs. You’re motivated by hitting and exceeding targets and delivering results.
- You’re a strong and natural negotiator, understanding variables at play and flexing these as needed.
- You’re a data whizz, analysing to uncover performance trends and opportunities, sharing these internally and externally.
- You’re comfortable having difficult conversations and able to flex your communication style appropriately to different personalities and situations.
- You’re a commutable distance to London so you can build relationships both with your customers and the Oatly team.
- We’re a motivated, enthusiastic, kind, positive and values driven team, and we hope you’re these things too.
- You have an entrepreneurial spirit – you’re comfortable with ambiguity and are energised by the process of building something lasting from the ground up, and getting stuck in when needed.
- You feel connected, in your own way, to our mission of encouraging health, sustainability, and transparency.
The Perks
Another bulleted list felt redundant, so we made a page talking about all the benefits we offer to sweeten the deal working with us before you apply – if you’re curious, check out this fancy page right here.
Phew! Well done if you’ve got this far. We’re glad we’ve still got your attention because we’ve got one last super important point to make. As you can probably tell, we’re a norm-breaking company. For us, diversity and differences are an obvious asset. We know that amazing candidates can sometimes be put off applying for a job unless they can tick every box, and that makes us really sad.
