Hello potential future Oatly employee. It’s us, the original oat drink company that started in Sweden back 30 or so years ago. Our mission? To make it easier for people to eat better and live healthier lives without recklessly taxing the planet’s resources in the process. If that makes you want to stand up, fist-pump, and shout, “Yes!” or even just a mild “Cool, I’m into that”, then maybe you’d like to join us.

We’re looking for a Category Manager who will continue to develop our understanding of the category, shopper and consumer, creating actionable insights that can unlock growth for the brand, the category and our customers. Here’s the main elements of the role:

  • Become an expert in the plant-based milks category, using a range of sales, shopper and consumer data to strengthen Oatly's understanding of the underlying trends, performance and drivers.
  • Build and maintain strong category relationships with our key retailer partners, giving recommendations to help unlock growth in the plant-based milks category.
  • Work closely with the Out of home sales team, supporting with creating sell-Ins to a wide range of out-of-home customers with different business needs and building Oatly's profile as experts in coffee and wider drinks trends.
  • Keep the company up to date with the latest consumer trends by bringing together information from a wide range of sources, and developing a quarterly insights report that builds Oatly's profiles as experts in the Coffee market and macro-consumer trends.
  • Champion the voice of the shopper and consumer internally, up-skilling and updating Sales/Brand/NPD teams on what is happening in the market.

If this sounds like you, you could be a great fit for this job:

  • You have at least 3 years of experience working in a Category, Insights or Commercial role, with hands on time with IRI/Nielsen/Kantar.
  • Analytical and data driven by nature, you love pulling insight from numbers and turning them into presentations that tell a clear and actionable story.
  • You’re curious and inquisitive with a passion for understanding consumer behaviour, with a strong awareness of the different types of Information sources and research methods available.
  • You can demonstrate experience in building and managing strong relationships with clients/retailers.
  • You’re a clear and concise communicator with experience of presenting Insights to people across a wide range of teams.

We’re glad we’ve still got your attention because we’ve got one last super important point to make. As you can probably tell, we’re a norm-breaking company. For us, diversity and differences are an obvious asset. We know that amazing candidates can sometimes be put off applying for a job unless they can tick every box, and that makes us really sad. So please trust your gut and pop in your application if it’s feeling right. Good luck!
