Our South Essex team is based in Basildon and covers Canvey Island, Southend, Brentwood, Wickford and Billericay. We pay competitive mileage rates because visits can range across this catchment.

Most Common: Care Assistant — South Essex £12.71–£14.50 /hour.

  • Visiting older adults in their own homes across South Essex and surrounding areas.
  • Providing personal care, medication management, and companionship.
  • Full training provided; no prior care experience needed.
  • 2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation.
  • Private bedroom and meal allowance.
  • Single client at a time; strong 1-on-1 carer relationship.
  • No live-in experience needed.
  • Lead a small South Essex team, manage care plans, support new starters.
  • Minimum 2 years care experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 preferred or willing to work towards it within 6 months.
  • Work within local neighbourhoods to minimise travel time and maximise relationships.

Coverage areas: Basildon, Southend, Canvey Island, Brentwood, Wickford, Billericay, Pitsea. Hospital discharge work mostly from Basildon University Hospital and Southend University Hospital.
