Care Assistant — Cambridge £12.71–£14.50 per hour.

Responsibilities:

  • Visiting older adults in their own homes across Cambridge and surrounding areas.
  • Providing personal care, medication administration, and companionship.
  • 2 weeks on / 1 week off rotation schedule.
  • Private bedroom and meal allowance for each shift.
  • Single client at a time, building one‑on‑one relationships.
  • Lead a small Cambridge team, manage care plans, support new starters.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of care experience.
  • NVQ Level 3 preferred or willingness to work toward it within 6 months.
  • No prior care experience required; full training will be provided.
  • No live‑in experience needed.

Hospital discharge work mainly from Addenbrooke’s Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital. The office is based in Cambridge. Oath Healthcare is a CQC‑regulated home‑care provider. Care assistants are employed directly (PAYE) and advanced training is provided. A clear progression path from Care Assistant to Senior Carer to Care Coordinator to Registered Manager is available, with promotion from within a priority.
