Oathall is committed to supporting our students to take part in every aspect of school life. This is a new role created to provide effective support for students with medical conditions or who are unwell at school to ensure they are able to attend and access their lessons.

In addition, the post holder will be responsible for organising first aid provision, being the main first aid provider across the school and for the administration and management of medicines in line with our policies and procedures.

Working as part of the wider pastoral team, the successful candidate will ideally be able to demonstrate:

  • Previous healthcare or care experience
  • Knowledge, experience or qualifications in first aid and managing medical conditions such as diabetes, asthma, epilepsy and severe allergies
  • Strong administration skills and the ability to make use of our IT systems
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Firm, calm, patient and compassionate approach
  • Experience of working with young people or in a similar area of work
