Position Summary
The Technician II, Engineering position is responsible for helping the manufacturing team with design and development of new products and making improvements to existing products and processes for cost efficiency and reliability. Responsibilities are focused on development of new manufacturing processes and improving existing processes, in compliance with ISO and other regulatory organizations (OSHA, IAPMO, ASTM, ICC, NFPA, etc. and any others applicable to the product being developed).
Position Responsibilities
- Works with engineering to design, prototype, and validate new metal components and products.
- Creates prototypes for engineering using manual mills, lathes, and CNC centers.
- Programs CNC machines for full production parts.
- Supports and coaches CNC operators with tooling and processing techniques.
- Works as needed with Compliance.
