- Report to and work closely with our external accountants and advisors.
Cash Flow, Debtors & Creditors
- Manage cash flow with rolling forecasts.
- Maintain tight debtor/creditor controls and reduce debtor days.
- Provide weekly monies due in/out reports that drive action.
Margins, Costing & Scale
- Analyse gross and net margins, by product, customer, and region.
- Partner with Ops to improve COGS, yield, wastage, and accuracy.
- Support pricing, promotions, and new product business cases.
Planning, Forecasting & Investor Insight
- Lead budgeting and reforecast cycles with scenario modelling.
- Prepare board/investor packs with crisp insights and next steps.
- Implement scalable processes and controls (close rhythm, docs, approvals).
Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Own finance tools (e.g., Sage, Excel/Google Sheets).
- Streamline reconciliations, stock/inventory accounting, and reporting cadence.
- Support audit/tax compliance with tidy, accessible records.
Requirements
Must-Haves
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified with strong processes.
- Proven in cash flow, management accounts, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets/Sage.
- Commercial mindset: you see problems early and propose solutions.
- High ownership, organised, and calm under pace.
Nice-to-Haves
- 2+ years in management accounting (FMCG/food/drink or scaling SME a plus).
- Inventory/COGS experience (yields, wastage).
- Building KPI dashboards and board packs.
- Experience implementing/improving month end close processes.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary with a strong remuneration package, including workplace pension and holidays.
- Room to grow – this is our first in house finance role, so you’ll shape it and grow with us.
