We are seeking a motivated and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our dynamic secondary school. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting teaching and learning across a range of subjects and year groups, helping students to achieve their full potential.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teaching staff, deliver lessons in the absence of a teacher, and provide targeted academic support to individuals and small groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver learning activities to individuals, small groups, or whole classes.
  • Cover lessons in the short-term absence of teaching staff.
  • Support students of varying abilities, including those with additional learning needs.
  • Work alongside teachers to adapt resources and implement strategies to support progress.
  • Monitor and report on student progress and attainment.
  • Support behaviour management in line with school policy.
  • Contribute to intervention programmes to raise achievement.
  • Assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
